Writer and Narrative Designer
Writing Samples
This is a collection of writing samples from the games I’ve worked on which illustrate my style and range as a writer/narrative designer:
Openings are doorways into the game's universe – they serve to introduce the core themes and to present the amazing new world players are about to explore.
The following openings have been taken from The Serpent Rogue (Sengi Games) and Aspire: Ina's Tale (Wondernaut Studio). Click here to read/watch.
The worldbuilding immerses the player into the experience at hand – they flesh out the game's world, helping further develop the mood and the story.
The following excerpts are Bestiary and Lore Tomes entries from The Serpent Rogue (Sengi Games). Click here to read.
Stories are only as interesting as the characters they happen to. The following samples are character profiles taken from Wonderbox: The Adventure Maker (Aquiris). Click here to read.
Efficient dialogue should inform the player, reveal character and propel the story forward. Great dialogue should do all three (and then some).
The following samples have been taken from a hidden object game and from my personal game Detective Sklue: Blue Bayou Blues. Click here to read.
